Old Rex???, So ... do you have an STi now?....cause if you got a non-STi WRX, then thats pretty impressive for those mods! I know Rudy has an upgraded turbo w/ his Rex and I think he ran 13.0s....

yeah i have a STI. but 13.7 with just a stage two is pretty good. my friend lawrence who use to own a silver 04 use to run 13. 4 with just up-pipe, dp, intake, boost controller. stock turbo. but he raised the boost just to the limit and he had really good launches.

Its weird when it comes to STis, Ive seen a wide range of performance figures... some of them run 14s, most of them ran mid to high 13s... but I only know of a few that ran low 13s "totally bone stock" here in Hawaii. (Nate) Keirnna ran 13.35 @ 100mph, my personal best was 13.30 @ 100mph, another person did 13.4 @ 100mph also. It couldnt be the launch, cause I mostly run 1.7 60ft times myself... in fact I think theres this guy named Chad who can really drive well with the STi (white), I've seen him run a 13.2 @ 97 mph on his car, his best was 13.17 @ 98mph! His car isnt stock though...he also has a Cobb AP/exhaust setup.

cobb tuning claims 101.5 mph, do you think my exhaust (stock sti) is causing restiction on the top end?

For what you got, sounds like its doing pretty good...most claims by aftermarket tuners are blown out of proportion. It may be possible in ideal conditions like wintertime in the east coast to achieve those results, but probably not here in our warm/humid weather. Youre trapping as fast as some STis, so youre making close to 300 HP?

yeah i meet chad when i went to run my car the first time i had the dp and ap together. something was really wrong with his car at the time. me and him had equal launches but by 1/8 mile his top end would die. i would pass him around there. and he couldnt get into the 100's too but still ran a 13.1XX. that night i was traping all 100's but my runs were 13.2, 13.1, then 13.3 but still i had a 100 mile per hour trap speed. i say its the track and weather conditions but thats just me. or i just suck monkey *****. oh yeah steve did a 12.9 in brandy's sti i think. that was awsome.

Yep, I believe his car was the only other STi in hawaii that made a 12 second pass using the stock turbo! ... the only catch was that the interior was gutted to achieve that goal (12.98 @ 103mph?...if I remember correctly), about 200lbs worth?
