i love scoobs, and the STi is sweet. but if i were in your shoes, i would sell it. 2 months and this many problems around the car. doesn't sound like a lemon...more like it's got some bad mojo following it. i'm not saying what you should do, just what i would do in that situation. - but then again, i'm on crack.
everybody here had some type of problems with their car, and most of us still have it...why don't you just get it fix and keep it....don't just get another car just because something is wrong with it that can be easily fix...
Subaru Service Center is NOT ANYWHERE NEAR 5 Star...don't go ANYWHERE NEAR 5 Star as they have bad mojo!
The Center is near Ward Avenue...I don't have the address but it is in Kakaako about 4 blocks from Vakamon and due west of Sports Authority.

if you can't get it replaced under the lemon law, then get an s2k or the evo.
however, being that there is one mitsu dealer on the island, i wouldn't want to put up with the crap that the dealership would give.

if your going to sell or trade in the sti. buy a brand new evo, don't buy a used one you might ended up have the same problems. evo's are hooooot...
I may have missed this but do you know how much you'd be paying for an Evo? Both cars are about as equal as you can get.....each has their strengths and weaknesses (handling, power delivery, interior quality, exterior look). I understand your frustration...i'd be pissed if I had the same problems. But you also have to look at the overall reputation...people have very few problems considering how much they beat on their vehicle.
IMO they're both great cars....but the Evos seem to have more major problems. You could always get a NEW Sti
Its been about 2 yrs now but the arrogant, condescending attitude displayed by the local mitsu dealership along with pricing turned me off.

CMON MAN! two months??? i understand you have a prollem but its time to take a step back and look at the big picture...stick with the sti and you have another strut change at hand. (i would buy aftermarket suspension components but thats just me) go with an evo and ur looking at what like 32-35 grand thats gonna be worth a lot less when you drive it off the lot. s2k??? not even close to what you have now. room for maybe one other mid-sized person and maybe a few grocery bags in the trunk. i would have an s2k if i had the money to make it strictly a track car but as a daily??? i just drove an evo for the first time this week and i loved it but it cant touch the level of pride and the rush i get when i punch it in my wagon. my car prolly has enough invested to be more expensive than an evo but im proud of every part ive installed from bov (first mod...flame on guys) all the way to the vf34 which is my latest gofastbit. id say stick with the sti and the drama cuz when it comes down to it you guys are few and far between.
thats just my three cents...

For me, I'd be happy if my shocks kicked the bucket, lol, I guess I'm gonna have to buy coilovers
Seriously though, Evos here are way too much $$$. Also I've heard that the 10 year warranty is almost a must-have, if you plan on keeping it stock.

i came to that point several times with my wagon, then i ended up buying something new like the smallest things i.e. like new air freshener, head unit, and extended lug nuts, or jus giving it a quick detail, then i end up falling in love with it again. i guess there are times when u just hate it or love it. right now im in a have and love situation wit my wrx, cuz i just blew my tranny, but on the brighter side, i will be getting an RA tranny. "once u start something, you might as well finish it." i hope watever im saying is making sense becuz i'm still drunk right now.
