The absolute first Suby I drove was a buddy's STi at a local Solo. I was coming from a FWD car and drove it all wrong. I got loads of understeer and when the tail of the STi came around I made things worse by lifting and applying more steering (can you say snap oversteer). I wasn't really impressed with the car and its handling on a SCCA Solo course. But again, I was driving it all wrong.

Fast forward about a year later and I was actually looking for an Evo and even test drove one with Shiroikage on Oahu (Yes, Diego was there at a Mitsu dealership). I had become fedup with the inherent unreliability of my current FWD ride (VW), but that's a topic for another day.

I was surfing the classifieds here on Maui and saw an 04 STi in PSM. I bought it on the spot and the rest is history.

I guess the first considerably faster than stock car I rode in...in anger...was Ogre's AKA Nate's.

 

-in '04. my AF instructor's stg III '04 STi in texas during tech school/AIT. it made my heart stop from getting shoved back into the seat.

-rode in (josh's) AngrySubyWagon's wagon, pretty punchy for a grocery getter. josh, you gotta take a ride in mine.

 

first suby i rode in was a friends 04 wrx from the mainland. it was pretty much maxed out on stock block and turbo.

My thoughts: "Oh my god, why would anybody wanna go this fast?"

2 months later i bought a wrx... 6 months after that i bought an sti.

 

i rode in teriyaaaki's sti thats the first modded suby that i rode in. that was super sick

x months later you bought an evo.

 

first rode in law's car(azn121184). This was about a year ago right before i got my car...It was my first time ridding in a subie and it was pretty modded at the time..The second he gunned it goin on the onramp onto 280...i knew right then and there I wanted one...one month later, I made up my mind and bought one

I rode in my buddy's 05 STi... he even offered to let me drive it... I gotta say it was pretty sweet... Well as soon as I got out of the STi I hopped into a 2000 RS with a full 05 STi swap, Motor, Tranny and Full interior... I think I still have impressions on my back from the seat.
