i'm not going to get one and end up like the kid who bought one in 08... what if Subaru gets so little out of this 2015 and decides WE NEED to put a 2.5 di in this badboy to increase sales for 2016?

I've already made up my mind about the next ride being an evo, the 15 wrx solidified it... unless mitsu royally screws up in the next few years.... OR>>> SUBARU COMES THROUGH AND I STAY LOYAL!!!! hell, I don't plan on getting out of my sore eye for a minute! I like to think years in advance.

As far as 2015 no because I no has $$ for it. If I did then yes I would buy either.

Either the wrx or sti I would get because it's time to treat myself to a new car. Wife got the 2012 dodge journey in 2012. So maybe in a few years I'll get myself the 2017 STi.

No reasons related to styling or drivetrain layout. It based on what I can swing.
Although STi has me because of factory unequal length headers

I think I am going to take the dive in to the 2015 wrx because I have no interest in the out dated EJ. My gut feeling is telling me this turbo F20 is going to have some serious potential. For starters 2.0 turbo, sure there is no replacement for displacement but trying telling the Evo that. The Evo has constantly out performed the EJ257 mod for mod. Next I want to point out the low mount turbo. Like I mentioned in another post shorter runners from the exhaust ports to the turbo equals faster spool characteristics. Oh and let's not forget the turbo is a twin scroll. Mix this with direct port injection and dual avcs, again I think this motor will have serious potential. I look forward to what the aftermarket world brings to the WRX, not to mention when people start swapping. Can u imagine a turbo charged F20 in the Brz? Someone swapping turbo manifolds from the Wrx to the Sti? Possibilties are endless. Feel free to discuss.......

I'm thinking about getting a 15 WRX. Why? Because I had a very bad experience with my EJ25 that I swore of any EJ25 powered Subaru untill they came out with a new motor. And my Evo has 90k on it now so it's getting up there in miles. But just like you I was to test drive one, see it in person, and learn more about the FA motor.

YouTube the Cosworth BRZ! They did an almost identical parts build on their EJ257 and the new FA20... Same build, very different numbers! The FA20 loves power!

I'd dive into a 2015 WRX without hesitation if I could afford it!

The 2015 WRX is apart of the FA family. The 2015 STi is still the old EJ design.

if i were to buy one it would deff be the wrx!!
then again i would hold off couple years.
look back at the 08-10 wrx and then the 11-14 wrx redesign body and suspension yeah engine didnt change but i would rather drive a 11-14 wrx than 08-10 wrx personally the worst looking wrx :P

I haven't seen any info on forged internals. I seriously doubt it will.
