the department is so slow at updating stuff online but you can just call the Recon station ( they deal with safety check stations)

Car Info: my wife crazy with buying parts
There is a auto detailing place across the street from C R Import Repair and they sell various types of brackets. For like $21 i got one that uses a licence plate screw hole for mounting. no additional holes in my bumper

I think its called Shea's Auto Detail. Google maps has it all wrong on the locations of both but look for big red lips (CR Import) or like a Diamond Sign with wording(Shea's)

Like I stated above, already purchased one at razor's at pearl ridge. Was like 16$ after taxes... Was like the one you described, screws on along with license plate. I was noise that someone will take it off with a screw driver, so I jb welded it to the plate b4 I screwed it on.. They have to take my whole plate now. Also found a place and got my safety done for reg price with no inflation charges... Thanks a bunch for the pics n help fockerz!

Old topic, but I found a plate-mount for my sticker today.

And it's legal! Yay! Looks like the new subie will go without ever having to have a sticker on the bumper!

Hawaii Administrative Rules § 19-133.2-24(b):
After the certificate of inspection is signed, a two-part inspection sticker shall be affixed by the inspector upon the right, most nearly vertical portion of the rear bumper of the vehicle or on another appropriate place, such as, a special bracket installed horizontally under the right portion or center of the rear bumper or a bracket attached to the rear license plate oriented either vertically or horizontally where the sticker can be clearly viewed by a person who is fifty feet behind the vehicle. The rear window or license plate is not an appropriate place. If the bracket on the license plate is attached to the top or bottom, it must be oriented so the stickers are displayed horizontally with the month sticker on the left side of the year sticker. If the bracket is attached to a side of the plate, the bracket must display the stickers vertically with the month sticker affixed in an upright position above the year sticker, which also must be affixed upright.
