Unhappy Who has made donations to Katrina Hurricane Disaster?

Where'd you guys donate?

On a side note: I know that it's a minimal thing to ask compared to the disaster but if you donate to a major company (ie Red Cross) do they give you something for tax purposes?

I've been watching the things that have happened and have been happening there and it saddens me that we cannot do more than what's being now!

This is just wrong in so many ways!

BTW...yes, just like at AUW all of our partner agencies (such as Red Cross) are supposed to supply every donor with tax acknowledgement at their request (at the very least).

Normally, you only need a receipt for a gift over $250 but it is always good to er on the side of caution in regards to the IRS.
