What's there to do in Kauai
Just wondering. I recently just got back from Kauai. Spent a few weeks out there. Great place. I love the tropical atmosphere and the rich vegitation. I hiked, swam, rode, relaxed, and drove. I saw every square inch of that island. I was wondering though. How is life like there on a full time basis? I did notice some wrx's out there. Over at the fern grotto boat ride offices there was some guys that looked about my age washing their car. And I wondered, when you drive the same roads every day, in a circle basically, does it ever get old? I did notice A LOT of the youth over at places like Dukes on that little bridge getting stoned out of their minds. What else is there for you to do out there? Also, how the hell are you going to afford a house out there if there is no price cap or something in place to control housing costs? Unless you're a business owner and self employed, how can you afford a home? I love the islands but damn it seems like it's not exactly an easy life. Especially when the bulk of the jobs are in the service industry.

You can go fishing, diving, surfing.Or just drive around and enjoy the islands natural beauty. There is this restaurant in poipu that serves the best fried rice that i've ever tasted and their salerno sausage is good too.Just my .02 cents

Some houses on Kaua'i are actually quite inexpensive.
What's there to do there? Get lost in the foggy green cliffs while hunting menehune, never to be heard from again
