^^^ohhh. I'm curious of the outcome of a 207 with a 5 speed and 257 with 5 speed. I def agree with everything being fast in there own right. But now aren't we just comparing apples and oranges??

This thread is useless without a brief understanding of what your ultimate goals are with this setup.

Sorry blake.. I dont want to reveal my hidden agenda but its just for realiability(meaning torque rather than beastly tuned) with some ooommmffff!!

-Reid, Alexie, and the rest. hey thanks for your insights. I have not ridden in Dan or Josh's car but I did ride in Brad's ride a handful of times and he's pull is way nice but I dont want a beast.. Im more of a touge/auto-x type spirited driver.. I think im narrowing my choice down but im following another guys swap right now to see its end results.

thanks guys,
-walter

I agree with blake on this one... Unless you provide what your goal or goals are for the build there is really no point in it. If you just want to build it to build something then spend the money on what you've got already to improve it. I for one would invest on a 6 speed transmission since it's stronger and can handle abuse (actually I have )

If the butt dyno is the only thing that you're trying to satisfy then a bit more torque will allow for that. since you have an RS engine at the moment the WRX engine will be more than enough for you since you're NA at the moment. I would contact iNfEk <~ (click me) and see how much he's selling his WRX engine for and then tear it down and build it back up on the 2.0L or stoke it. The 2.0L engine is a pretty resilient and can handle quite a bit of abuse.

My suggestion would be to take the 2.0L and get JDM STI V8 head (AVCS FTW) and upgrade the turbo with proper engine management. combined with the 6 speed you'll be all good.

Ultimately YOU need to decide what your goal is and strive for it.

Jon
