If you could bring one person from the past into modern times, who would you choose?

Lets say you were granted a wish that allowed you to bring one person (dead, obviously) the past into our current future and spend one day with them, who would you choose? This person would spend the day with you, and only you, unless you wish otherwise. From all the figures from the past, which would you choose to resurrect for one day? After the day is spent, the person who you brought back would disappear just as fast as he/she appeared.

My answer is easy. The most brilliant man in history, Leonardo da Vinci. He was trapped in the wrong time frame, all his ideas now come to life, it would be fascinating to see his reactions to the new world, and even more fascinating to study him as he was 500 years ago.

Curious to see what you guys can come up with.

He's my second choice, but Da Vinci seeing modern times after he basically had all the ideas of modern times, only he was stuck in the 1500's so he couldn't make his ideas work.

this brings up a good point actually. goes to show that truly innovative people and artists go unnoticed and are always "ahead of their time". they paved the way for how society functions and were very much necessary during their time, so that we can be where we are at in the present to appreciate modern technology and thought.

exactly in line with referring to DaVinci's contributions to the world, and ironic that i just bruce lee's picture up, but there was this documentary on the History channel recently called "How Bruce Lee Changed the World". check it out. very cool stuff. prob on Hulu or something.

I'd really like to meet my grandfather. I'm named after him. I'd also really like my mom to meet my wife. My mom would be my first choice.

But I'm guessing we're talking about history type folks here so it's tough to say.

I'd like to say something like Ab Lincoln or MLKjr so they can see what has happened with equal rights and maybe do some good now.
