What a way to start the new year.

After dropping off a friend, I was driving down the hill to head home. Someone in one of the cars in the on-coming lane, throws a beer/soda can at my car. I hear it hit and pull over the car is long gone, I check for damage, nothing that I can tell since its too dark. I get home and check no dents. I'll check again tomorrow morning when there is more light. Hopefully there isn't any damage. It just pisses me off that people do crap like that.

This is for the person that threw the can!

Yeah what is the deal with fireworks here? I am from Indiana, and live in a semi-rural area. We can do nothing like what these crasy *******s do here. I had 4 or 5 people throw bottle rockets (I'm pretty sure that's what they were) at the road as I drove by. They never hit me, but I was pretty pissed. The point is in Indiana where I live it is less populated than most area's that I've been to here, but no one did anything to stop these people. I don't kow why there weren't cops beating these people down.

This is why I make it a habit NEVER to drive around during special occasion nights. The freaks come out! I'm sure we're no exception around the rest of the nation, but Hawaii residents get choke crazy, especially on New Year's Eve.

Its called culture.

BTW Brandon: last year, my friend's GS400 almost got hit from a beer glass bottle at a parking lot on New Year's Eve. He grabbed the bottle, and then threw it back at the guy, dead on aim. punks.

Thanks guys!

I checked out the car today. There are no dents, a few small scratches, I was able to buff out. I have to consider myself lucky.

That's partly why I stayed home yesterday. That and I'm scared of the outside world.

Seriously, if someone would've done that to my car, I would've gotten in trouble.

I do feel for you. People here just love to throw s**t on the freeway and at other cars for no reason, maybe to cause an accident. : /

Hey midnightwrx, around where did the incident happen? On New Year's eve, I was travelling on the H-1 townbound from Ewa Beach and it was raining so hard that it was hard to see; right after I pass the Waikele offramp I see a bright red/green light in the air and thought.. hmm, another aerial firework.. but then the thing was coming straight TOWARD ME! Luckily I was able to swerve to avoid the thing, but man some a$$hole from under the bridge must have sling-shot'ed it up towards the freeway..

All this happened while it was pouring cats and dogs.

That beer can stuff is crap too. Probably some drunk idiots riding in back of a truck.

Damn B! Sorry to hear what happened to you. Glad bebe is OK. As much as I like to drive my car, New Years Eve is the one time that I hustle home early before all the madness begins. the jerks who have no respect.
