what size tires w/ 17 x 8 rims on a wagon?

i just bought me a set of 17 x 8 +48 offset for my 02/03 wagon. my wagon is nearly tucking w/ stock rims and tires. i was wondering what size tires do u guys recommend w/o having to modify my fenders and raising back up? thanks.

if you want tires just to get you by...i agree with JT-Sti2...get some 225/45/17's...

but it all depends on what you going to do with the car...

btw chris (808subaru) had some rubbing issues with the 225's on his wagon while at auto-x....just a thought to have in your head...
