wat kind of helmet needed?
What kind of helmet do you need to drag race? Do you need full face or can you use open face? This may sound stupid too, but can you run with a bicycle helmet?

Haha, no you can't run with a bicycle helmet. Check with your drag strip, most will require an SA approved helmet, atleast 95 or newer. Open or full-face usually doesn't matter, that's up to the preference of the driver. Personally I have a SA2000 full-face.

For what kind of racing are we talking about? For most, a DOT approved helmet is required. For SCCA, they require a Snell 2000 rating on the helmets for particiapnts.

i got a full-face helmet from South seas motorcycles in waipahu. it says on the back of the helmet that it's DOT and Snell approved, but i have no clue about the actual Snell number.

Go buy the cheapest one you can find...If all your going to use it for is drag racing but a good expensive one will be more comfortable.
