glad to hear that you've got no smoke, Richard. Sounds like if I upgrade, I'm going to go with the -34... of course that is many many moons from now.

Thanks for the review. I think I almost bought that same turbo. Did you get it from Notorious WRX?

I'm really curious to see if the added "pep" you felt will translate into better numbers at the strip. Good luck!

Richie,

Yep. Bought the turbo from NotoriousWRX. He was GREAT to work with!

I don't think there'll be any added oomph in my timeslips - but it sure does feel nice on the street...

Thanks, Pat! I don't think my e.t.'s are gonna change much - but it'll sure be a lot more fun to drive to and from the track.

Very nice. Thanks for the review on the VF 30 and VF 34. Are you running higher boost now with the VF 34 vs. the VF 30?

Same boost... Since it uses identical wheels/housings and only the center section is different there isn't really going to be a benefit from changing boost levels. Truthfully, the turbine housing of the VF30 was a little darker than I would have liked (it could be from oil being pumped through it from the leaking seal, but it wasn't wet or especially coked on the inside) so I think I might turn DOWN the boost.

Should be more brown (rusted) like the flange and less black (like the turbine housing). Doesn't look TOO bad, but it's evidence that I was running it pretty hard. But that's what it was designed to do, right? ;p

Not sure... It would be ready to bolt on and run 12's in a car owned by somebody that didn't mind a couple of puffs of smoke at idle. I was just too **** to drive around like that every day to all of my client's offices.

It's only got 6500 miles on it or so. What you have in mind?

well, I already got a vf30 , ... but doesn't XS engineering re-work a vf23? I'm just wondering what they would do with a vf30.

btw, know anybody selling used sti injectors?

Ion re-works VF30's into true beasts... The cost is proportional though, BIG $!
