Palaban,
I'm just lucky that there weren't any seized bolts/stripped nuts... Mainly thanks to the COPIOUS amounts of anti-seize I used during my Stage 2 install!

Etchylives,
Thanks, Bro! Hope to see all the other WRX's out there pimpin' some upgraded power-adders soon!

Just the turbo install is not that hard, give none of the bolts get stuck. Since I have installed way over 20 turbo's I got a few tricks up my sleeve.

Here is Imprezer's quick run down on turbo install:

1. Let the car cool down completely.
2. Remove the intercooler. (flat head SD and 12mm socket to unbolt the BOV). Pull the breather hoses from the metal pipes that is bolted to the IC. Leave the pipe on.
3. Remove the turbo heatsheild. It has about 5-6 10mm bolts that can be removed with a combo of 10mm ratchet with various extensions and 10mm wrench or ratheting wrench.
4. Use clamps (I prefer medical clamps) to crimp/clamp the coolant hoses. For the bottom one, pull the shiney "foreskin" and crimp it.
5. Use long needle nose pliers to remove the coolant line clamps and remove the coolant lines. Just a tad of coolant will squirt out.
6. Use 14mm socket to remove the oil feed line.
7. Use 10mm socket to remove the oil feed line braceket on the side of the turbo.
8. Gently bend the line out of the way.
9. Unbolt the DP from the exhaust (2 12mm bolts)
10. Remove the DP brackets (14mm, one on the side of the tranny and one on the hanger)
12. Remove the DP from the turbo. (14mm, soak them in WD40 to be safe). The bottom one is hard to get to, but a shorty 14mm open end wrench will do it.
13. Drop the DP but just let it hang there.
14. Remove 3 14mm nuts that hold the turbo to the uppipe.
15. Remove the turbo inlet pipe (10mm socket on a long extension)
16. Pull the turbo out.
17. Put new turbo in and reinstall everything.
18. Send Imprezer a dozen of Malasadas and a HI girl wearing a coconut bra.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

- Alex

Very Cool Richard. I can't wait to get a ride in it.

Hey Wes, when do you want to get together to do our turbo's? I will only do my turbo and hold off on the rest of my junk. But we can do all of your stuff though.

I got 2 of the 4 things I need to complete everything. For my i nstall I was shooting for after xmas, as I will be on vacation from work from the 25th to the 5th.

Anytime for your stuff is fine! Just let me know when. I got moved around at work, and im back in the shipyard, with a new boss. He's an overtime freak, who always wants us to come in and work, even though it's not even needed. It seems as of right now, all week i gotta work OT, but on the weekends, I didnt commit to him yet, and I dont think I will. So im free Mon-Fri after 3pm. And the weekends are looking good right now.

So it's up to you, when you want to come down, or if you want me to go to your place. just let me know!

Wes
