Tuning the FTC1
Fun.
Seems to work pretty good.
My first map and she fired up and died. However, she always does that after an ecu reset. Next time she fired and ran. Then there was this hesitation.... fixed it.
Then it bogged under boost... fixed it.
Then it wouldn't cruise at 3500 RPM without surging... fixed it.
Now it pulls hard through the entire RPM range... ONCE.
Then it bogs and hesitates after that.
Turn off the car and restart it and you can do a WOT run again.... ONCE.
Then it bucks and bogs again.
Wierd.
Working on it. I think short and long term fuel trim is screwin' me because my map is hosed.
Oh well. I got 30 days to think about it.

in map B (for timing) it's in degrees of retard.
In map A (Map sensor voltage) each .1 is .025volts.
It's kinda funny. It's for signal MODIFICATION. a value of 10 is no change in voltage. 0 is -2.5Volts and 20 is +2.5Volts

Did you pay the extra 50 bucks for the data logging feature?
If you didn't, call them back and ask for it. I didn't know you had to ask.
Also if you don't want the data logging feature, ask for it, I'll pay for it and swap you FTC1's.
I like mine. It makes using 550cc injectors really freaking easy.
Tuning with it is easy. However, there are a few tricks to using it. "Magic Numbers" and proper location are a few.
