Just dont think I have the nerve to run in front of a ton of people. I will get the deer in the headlights symptom probably. Who knows, I will atleast come down and see how it goes...

Yeah I just gotta come out and wait til I get up the nerve. I will probably redlight and stall the first couple times. So how many spectators attend?

Redlight don't mean ****. You go early, go late. As long as you are trying to launch good, you can have a .001 or a 5.999 reaction time. It won't (at least as far as I know) your 60' and 1/4 mi. times.

I was planning to just watch my 1st time at the tracks too. It didn't take long for me to want to try my hand at it though. I was worried about embarassing myself and other Subie owners by running a crappy time and ended up running a 15.x. No big deal. There are enough fast WRXs to make up for the slow ones.

Don't worry about it.......In fact, some runs i'm still in the 15's, when I don't launch well....popin instead of slippin....idlen instead of revvin.

My first time with Mach5, Rexstang, Vrod, IS2Scooby, i was a bit nervous....but after the first run.......I got ADDICTED.

Only bad thing now a days are the F***** wait....1 or 2 runs a night sucks......b4 used to be at least 3 to 4 runs.

L8trs,
JD

Too true about the crappy runs. There is NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. As long as you don't walk around talking about how fast and shiz your car is, then no probs. Just come out to hang out, and take a few runs to break up the monotony.

Oh yeah, the wait is KILLER. I used to go real early and get 3-4 runs before it got busy. However, last time there was much suck and many broken cars spewing viscous fluids on the track. Taht led to even LONGER wait times. The wait should be your biggest worry, not a crappy performance.

Just come out and QUIT *****ING ABOUT BEING SLOW. You're starting to sound like me and you haven't even started yet.
