Total shipped: $272.99 (at that price they'll go to Hi-Tech Coatings for Ceramic Coating before install)

We'll see how they look and fit when they get here.

Thanks for all the input and YES i did read it all.. the focus on my STI has been and continues to be: What performance can you get from readily available, "knock-offs" for the least money.

I'm no JDM-monger... don't really care about brands either.

Just like the FMIC, and the TBE, already on my car... I'll be looking (and posting) how the Top Speed Pro 1 EL headers work/fit.

Thanks again

I suggest for that price; Get the gruppe-s header. they are pretty good and well known...

What about these. Not bad price, and they're coated.
Not EL and shipping while I'm sure not much more than $20.00, make's it about the same price as the EL's I bought...

Coating will be a bit more than I'd like I'm sure,... but again,... I'm just trying to see how it'll all work out..

Thanks for the info though!

@ 399.00 + SH NOT Coated.. and $575 + SH coated... hrm... They're not EL and I 'could' buy 2 of my "cheap e-bay" headers (NOT coated of course)... but in the end.. you may be right... and that may be the way I go after I learn the hard way.

I guess I've been lucky so far..
the SSAC FMIC is working well...
the Auto Dynasty TBE is working well (even had the DP ceramic coated)
the R-1 mini-mushroom Intake Filter w/ SSAC Short-Ram intake is working well

All E-bay bought...

All coupled together with the PDX "OTS" map for my mods

again.. maybe I'm just lucky, but it's all working well

PDX is coming down in July and I hope they can tune it even better than what I have now...

we'll just have to see.... I've found that the XO2 EL Header is the same design as the Top Speed Pro 1,... so if the problems that exist on the XO2 are the same on the Top Speed Pro 1... then I guess I've wasted ~300.00 and my time... but again... we'll see..

There are many low-cost equal length headers that utilize the same design (built in uppipe). Get it coated. I've had mine wrapped and then coated and it has had no problems after 4+ years. You will not sound like a Subaru, more like a pissed-off Honda. I've had two warnings because they didn't get a radar lock, but knew I was going way too fast. 22+ lbs of boost and an RSR exhaust make you very noticeable. I have a knocklink and wideband. Kids, don't try this at home.

I don't recommend most people imitating my moves. Either I'm stupid or everyone else is sane.

well.. due to miscommunication, the vendor refunded my money and I won't be able to purchase a set now until the end of may... which also means IF I go that route, they may not be on by the time I get to have my sti dyno-tuned..

meh... ah well.. Thanks for all the input thusfar everyone.

Burt...Tune date is in September...

we put the dyno date back to September to give everyone a chance to do their mods...and for situations like yours...

no problem man...you'll have time...

Maybe this happened for a reason, maybe someone or something is telling you to look at other options/brands...

You know things always happen for a reason...
