From: Ewa Beach, Hawaii...Current Best Time: 12.59 @ 107.48mph (108.47 best mph) in Hawaiis humid weather! w/ stock turbo&intercooler
Car Info: 2004 STi.....stock turbo/intercooler/cat-back, aftermarket intake/downpipe/piggyback
Eh, its not screwed completely! Just got slippery shoes for now, its getting better though...(clutch - glaze). Looks like a good idea, my car needs some rest from drag racing - dedtuned it back down to 360HP for now. Its running pretty strong on pump gas tune.
Great times for the mods you have! I think that is one of the fastest I've seen on a stock STi turbo and stock fuel system.
As for me, I have an 02 WRX w/ a 5spd, but later plan to switch to a 98rs trans or an older turbo Legacy trans once my stock goes.
I never really drove my car correctly on the track. Only recently did I see dyno graphs of guys with similar set-ups (wrx heads w/ 2.5l bottom) where the power band peaks at about 6k rpm. I've been shifting at 7.5k. Also, with the kind of luck that usually follows me, my utec crapped out on me so I was running of an "off the shelf" mapped ecutek that had my afr running rich at 9.8 at peak boost.
The car is still pretty basic for the moment. I've had my Jun cams and other internal upgrades boxed and sitting in a shelf for a while now. I'm searching for bare Spec C heads to accomodate the parts, but it's rare to find them bare and they are about $2,500 complete with cams, valve train, and valve cover. I think I'm better off just sending my stock WRX heads to a reputable machinist to have them ported.
Well, I better log off now before S6 catches me on a non work related net. It will be interesting to see what you can do with more mods to your STi. Keep up the good work!
