the problem is no one is going to buy an all wheel dyno anytime soon. lets face it i know alot of shops have the money to buy it but the numbers dont justify buying one to make money off of it. So, am I going to wait for someone to get an AWD, nope. As for the prices, maybe he could come down a bit.

Like I said you don't need a dyno, you just need lots of time. 2 hours of road tune is not going to put your car were you want it to be. You will need days and weeks of tweaking. Like I said, get an exede and beg for JT STI's help. The thing is you have the same dilema as I do. You've already invested probably close to $1,000 in ECUtek, and there is no way to recover that money. I can't even unflash my ECU back to stock. It is gay. I just want the personal tunner to come out so I can take my car to whoever I want.

Thanks for the props Nate! I guess some of you may be right about the underlying costs on licensing and stuff, didnt actually expect it to be that much! Maybe it isnt very lucrative to embark on that side job thing...I think I'll just stick to signing up for some OT at work. I cant complain about $400+ for one day of OT, too bad uncle sam will take a chunk of it. On a brighter note, those of you who watched the last Hawaii's fastest streetcar shootout...witnessed my car go thru a slump - running a paltry best 12.80 @ 104mph that night on an experimental brew of 3 gallons race gas (103 oct) and a pint of 40% nitromethane additive. DO NOT TRY THIS MIXTURE - IT SUCKS! Luckily I was able to regain most of the power loss and was able to retune my car back to running 12.90 @ 106mph using 92 octane unleaded (easy launch!). I will try to make it tomorrow and retune my car for 100 octane and hopefully be able to install my larger top mount intercooler. (Still got the stock VF39 turbo)

As far as the xede goes it is just as questionable as the UTEC, or any other form of engine management. They are all just tools, it is up to the user to make them work right. I just say xede because it is easy to see the results possible. Hell if I had met Joel before I started working on my STi I would have bought a similar set-up to him. About $1k of parts in the car and the fastest STi in town. Once he learned to stop spinning his tires in the water he was an okay guy

Whoa... actually, I spent about $1,600 on performance parts. Dont forget my downpipe.... Made a couple decent runs last night, did a 12.61 @ 107.4 w/ a 1.72 60ft time, and a 12.65 @ 107.0 w/ a 1.73 60 ft time. Anyone know if its street racing night tonight?
