I'm going to be in the Lahaina area May 16 thru 23.

Any more suggestions on where to go for good Hawaiian food and music? Don't want the nightclub scene, just some good, down home Hawaiian peeps and grubs (food).

Well, I guess this guys traveling thousands of miles to hawaii for a plate lunch, Cuz all us HIIC members can suggest is good places to eat.

If I had to incorporate both hawaii's great food and checking out sites. Do what me and my friends do!! Tantlus!!! If you come to Oahu you should check out Tantlus/Round Top Drive lookout. And after the lookout, go around the whole road.(Tantlus is one of Oahu's best switch back mountain roads, Subie heaven) Oh ya, bring a plate lunch so you can eat at the lookout. Nothing like eating a plate lunch over looking Waikiki to make you realize why Oahu is a great place. Beer is optional

Good call! That road is awesome (although driving a rental Pontiac G6 will suck the fun right out of it).

(this pic was taken about halfway from the peak of Roundtop)
