suspension help,
im currently running tein basics. on my 07WRX
but the front is all the way down. but its not to low for me.
is there a cheaper way to make it lower rather than cutting?
people told me to change the spring so it can go lower? but i do not know what springs to order. any help guys?
or another route is buying a new set of coilovers. anyways know a cheap coilovers that can get lower than tein basics for a good price?
was thinking of megans.
can you guys give me some options thanks

It's probably not a good idea to go lower, due to shock bottoming out, operating out of recommended ranges, suspension geometry, etc... But if you want to lower the car even more, just call tein if they make replacement springs in a similar spring rate but with shorter overall length... if they won't do that (probably cause it's not safe) then just get the specs for the spring. Length, diameter and rate, then order some eibach springs from ground-control.com or summit racing and replace your old springs with them... I'd cut down the bump stop a little, but don't totally remove it, it's there to protect the shock. Good luck

I don't think basics even came with pillowball upper mounts... you reuse the original uppers and transfer the strut and spring. Maybe he could buy some thin pillowball camber plates to get an extra 1/2 inch or so.
+ you'd get camber adjustment YAY!

if theyre hypercoil springs... i know they sell them @ different tensions and sizes (length)
or if you know the diameter of your spring? and the length uncompressed? i think the common sizes are 2.5" and 2.25" diameter ...if they are...i can give you help you out with a link...

Ok for the lazy ones here. According to TEINS website, it looks like front springs are 2.75 diameter by 9.8" length and rear are at 2.75 with 8.8 length... Now just go to swiftsprings.com (amazingly groundcontrol didn't have a listing for 2.75" springs ) and order some new rear springs.
You should be able to swap the rear to the front springs, and order new rear springs to match, the front and rear spring rates are the same at 5kg each... or for the lazy, approx. 275lb springs. So you should need rear springs of 275lb or 5kg with an 8 in length.
Lookee here!!!! http://www.swiftsprings.com/file/Coilover_Springs.pdf
And here!!! http://www.tein.com/tech_info/inst/ls60u.pdf
OR do it the right way, and Call tein and have them send you some matching springs for your suspension.

Just a FYI.. I believe Racecomp has a camber plate designed for coilovers that raises the upper mounting point of the shock by about 3/8".
If you decide to get those, they can usually be transferred to common coilovers later on if you upgrade..
The price is a bit steep but it gives you more adjustablility as far as camber is concerned.
Check um out.
Thanks for Makofoto on Nabisc0 for the pic.
The Racecomp one is the grey one.. 4th column from the left, 3rd row down.
