SUPER URGENT - Track day info
Okay, new information has come to light and we can get the track for next Saturday, March 5th. The bad, it is going to cost $2300 to rent the track, $300 will come back because it is a saftey deposit. So it is up to you if you want to track day. It doesn't matter to me so much if we have it or not. I would really like to have it. If we have 30 people show up it will only cost $70 a person. $50 a person if we get 40 people who come. Everything will be up to us how we run, and we would have the track from about 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. I really, really need you guys to show your support if you want to do this. Call me if you have any questions at 812-870-5337. We must have a firm decision to get them on Monday morning or there will be now track day until Farid has a chance to set a new one up. Get the word out, I-club evo's are welcome, we want to prove you are slower of course. Most people are welcome, so it will be first come first served payment wise. If you have a question about if you can come or not PM me. Mazda Speed Protege guy, sorry I forgot your name, you are welcome also.

Well it seems that we have almost no one who is interested in going, so I'll bid our track day adieu. I can't wait to get back to Indiana and go to the track with Pat. At least then I don't have to depend on 50 or more HIIC guys who have done thousands of dollars worth of work to the their cars and never even step on the track.

Have fun serving and protecting. I know I'm pretty new to racing, but I didn't even know that we had a track until July of '04. There is no reason for anyone other than a very select few to ***** about HRP closing on I-club, because no one seems to be even interested. There are about 10 people on there that might actually participate in track even 1/4 or other in a given month. Time for the lands of beutiful tracks. I'm very sad that there is so little interest in this.

...and perhaps they have lives outside of their cars, like family, friends, houses, etc..
Just a thought.
No need to insult every one on this forum just because you can't get enough support for YOUR track day.
As mentioned many of us have been racing in some shape or form for many years. I suspect that if you add up the combined support for drag racing, autox, track days we probably support the track as much, if not more then any other car club.
We also have a pretty good record for not street racing with the exception of some bad apples...
Most who know me will tell you I'm generally not this verbal, but I'm getting frustrated with your negative comments about the folks on here. I understand your are upset that you can't get full support for your track day, but that is no reason to insult others. Your first track day was on a weekday which made it hard for many due to work. Your rescheduled day is on a weekend, but some people (like myself) need a bit more advance notice to make it.
Hope things work out better for you on the mainland.

WRX_FLIP - I know, like I said I am new to racing, but I am hooked so I'll be racing for as long as I can. Greg, I feel you, I really would enjoy a friendly battle. This wasn't MY track day it was supposed to be an I-club track day, but whatever. I am sorry for the short notice, but that is all I got. Thanks to whichever mod removed the sticky. I really don't care if people get mad, I said something that I think needed to be sad. I have made some of the best friends in my entire life here in Hawaii, and I'll miss you guys. It has been fun.
