Summer Subie Cruise?
Summer Subie Cruise?
I've been thinking about planning a summer subie cruise. I know we always do the the TOT cruise in November, but last year we had a pretty decent cruise in late spring.. This is just a brain storming thread for now, but here some ideas and details I'm throwing around:
- On a Sunday around mid July. I don't see any daytime track events planned around that time
- Do some kind of collect donation thing. (i.e. everyone bring a can good or something and we donate to food bank or something).
- Seek out local vendor/dealer support for small promotional items and perhaps some prizes (See next item).
- Add a little fun, by having a few contests such as best detailed car, dirtiest car, fastest car (based on timeslip!), most mods, etc... Mainly for fun, but I have a few give away items and perhaps our vendor/dealer folks will provide some support.
- Do a BBQ lunch or dinner perhaps with the support of a vendor/dealer (Nino?)
- All Subies welcome! Would be nice to see some XTs and perhaps some new Legacys
Post any additional ideas...

Tim, ... I'll talk with Farid to see about some kind of event sponsorship or something. Maybe we can start or stop at the shop or something. He has talked about having a 'shop day' on a Sunday or something.
Stopping by SpeedGear late morning would be good. It's on the typical route and assuming we meet up around 10am at Keahi Lagoon Park that would put us there before lunch. Parking would probably be better on a Sunday too.
As for a BBQ, I was hoping that someone (hint to Nino) would offer to help do something later in the day.
Would like to stick to July since it provides more time to plan and allows people to work into their schedules. For now I'm going to throw the dates 11th or 18th up as proposed dates.
