actually the VF35 is a VF30 with a smaller p15 exhaust housing for better spool. it pushes about 425cfm @ 18psi which is slightly less than a 16g. this is a very good turbo for rally or autox and comes on a few JDM subarus like the type RA and the V7 OZ STI. It is also used in some european cars like Porsche and Ferrari. reason you probably have never heard of it is that it was put only in limited production models that you've never seen.

I'm pretty sure your talking about the VF34. The diffrence between VF30 and 34 is the roller bearing. Came on the Spec-c v7 models.

no i'm pretty sure i'm talking about the vf35, it still has divided thrust bearing.

pretty sure its supposed to be utec. but if you think of it ej257 and ej255 engines have a form of vtec. avec advances or retards cam timing just like ivtec in k series engines do

hence the wording form of vtec. ivtec has the 2 lobe lift control like old vtec and also advances or retards intake cam timing
