Subaru mechanics on this island?
I have lived on Oahu for five years, and until now have been able to do most maintenance/repairs myself. As my car gets older, bigger items are starting to need repairs. Every time I call Servco Subaru, they tell me they are booked solid for the next 3-4 weeks (plus they don't even have Saturday hours). Why they won't hire more mechanics is beyond me... they are obviously losing a lot of business!
Can anybody recommend a mechanic who is familiar with Subarus? Preferably somebody in town, as I live in Moiliili. My biggest issue at the moment is clutch pedal noises, and I would feel more comfortable taking the car to someone who has worked on Subarus before.
(Yes, I have searched this forum. I only find recommendations that are several years old)

For all repairs that are beyond my knowledge, I take my car to LS Automotive in Waipahu. I know it's far from town, but the quality of their work is what I love.

Subaru only has two techs because they only have a two bay shop. They are trying to find a bigger shop so they can get more techs and do more work. At one point I was the only Subaru Tech that was fun days. Haha

sonic motorsports. servco has actually sent cars there to rebuild motors. they do not want to rebuild, they will only replace. ive personally had both my subarus (wrx and sti) clutch replaced and timing belt replaced and no issues at all.

Same deal
I'm in the same situation. Just moved here and need to find a honest, competent Subaru mechanic in or around Honolulu who won't overcharge me.
Any luck with any of the shops listed?
