Stupid Molding....
So I was driving home from work today and I suddenly noticed something banging against my car while i was on the freeway. My molding (the black rubber thing) by my right rear door came lose and it was slapping against my car before it got loose and fell off. I got home and checked the damage... had like plenty scratch marks on my rear door and rear quarter panel and some on my rear bumper, the worst part is lots of white scratch marks on my rims.
Anybody know where I can go to get my rims fixed if its even possible? Probably gonna have to get those areas repainted too. Brandon do you think you could hook me up? Thanks

Geez Dom, you dont have to worry about that small portion molding.. Jus paint it and DST it and consider that part a small wide body component!!

No Walter, i could care less about the molding, but while the molding was trying to snap lose, it was slapping against the car and the plastic "bolt" that was hooked onto the end was making scratches on my door and quarter panel. You really should see it, it looks like i drove through a war zone and my car took a couple bullets or something

Well after i wiped off the area with a cloth, there were still some scratch marks left on the rear door and the rear bumper around the wheel well so i'm thinking i will have to repaint those two panels, and yea I'd like to get my Super Advans fixed. Brandon, you would probably have to assess the damage before you gave me an estimate though. I'll probably have time this weekend to have it checked out.
Those must be some deep scratches if you can't rub it out.
You may want to try with a rotary polisher--especially if you're willing to repaint. Some cutting compound and a buffer can do wonders for scratches; just don't get nuts and hold the buffer in one spot.
Out of curiosity, was the molding taken off and put back on to cause it to be loose like that?
I just want to know because I want to go look at mine now.
