Exclamation Stuck throttle?

I have a '05 LGT heavily modded. Now this has just recently started happening, from when I bought it at approx. 56k (it now just passed 70k), it ran like a champ. Let's get down to it, this doesn't happen every time, but a good 80-90%, when I have going into or backing out of a parking space, I'm either in 1st or R, I'll push the clutch in and my engine will rev. My right foot will be nowhere near the gas pedal and yet it still revs. Not sure what it is. Just started happening today. Any thoughts or has anyone ever experienced it before? I don't have a clue as to where the problem might be, although I suspect it might either be a tranny prob or perhaps something with the ECU. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes I have the same problem. I push the clutch in after a hard pull and the revs will go up to 4k.

Clean yout throttle body. Then check for vacuum leaks.

^ Chad- do you recommend cleaning it by hand with a non-lint shop towel, or using brake cleaner, carb cleaner?

^ and just let it dry on its own? Do you suggest spraying directly at the butterfly or just the throttle body itself?

spray....brush...and rag it clean...
and yes both the butterfly and throttle body....if you have the cable type of throttle body...open it up and clean it up...

no worries, it answered my unasked question of how to do it. now to find some time to be able to work on it. That's the biggest challenge.

the clutch pedal has a linkage shaft that crosses the gas pedal. Make sure that there isnt amp wires or anything that could be contacting the gas pedal .

Also, there is always the floor mat. But hopefully you would have figured that one out without help. haha
