stock lug nuts on aftermarket rims?

how many of u guys are using stock lug nuts on your aftermarket rims? some of my friends said that i should get aftermarket lug nuts because the stock ones might be too short depending on the rims i have, and it might scratch around the holes of the rims where the lug nuts go. any advice?

Used stock lugnuts from 04 STI...

Sold my STI BBS rims and had to use the stock lugnuts on my new wheels Gram Light 57F Pro's...worked fine.

I finally found some light gold aluminum lugnuts at Vakamon and put them on. The stock one worked fine on both sets of wheels.

The aluminum ones are very light.

Where is a good place to get some locking lug nuts for aftermarket rims?

I know there is Ron's and Apple Motoring that Im familiar with, but they probably too overpriced...

Have been to Vakamon once and forgot to look,..Probably only need 4,..or one lock nut for each wheel,...Ebay got the cheap stuff other forums say are junk,...

Which locknuts you use? McGaurds splinedrives, Gorilla or other??

Just thought Id ask before I go shopping,..would make it easy just to go to one shop today cause its been so friggen hot this week,...

thanks

On Rota wheels you cannot use the stock lug nuts they don't seat correctly on the wheel I believe I have Gorrlia locking lug nuts can't remember but Suby dude sells the ones that work correctly. I have what ever he sells.

I ordered Rotas and I also ordered the McGard lugs as the stock lugs dont seat properly.
