I recently got pulled over (on the way to an i-club meet hehe)..
officer Hung wanted to tag me for speeding..
what Unpimped said about officers approaching with intimidation is true. He started by saying "did you know that your car is very illegal?" in my case it wasnt because I had the reconstruction permit for everything on my car and I told him that I wasnt. he also said "your tint is also illegal" i told him otherwise.. and was very polite.
he brought out the tint meter and walked around my car measuring license plate height and etc. everything checked out.
he told me that he's notorious on the hawaii boards for giving out tickets and that I should remember that he isnt giving me one because I was so polite and was a nice guy.
pretty interesting story..

okay, just an update on this. i just received the results after contesting this in writing:
DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE!
For educational purposes, here's what I did.
After getting the ticket, I went back to the Recon office and updated all of my mods including my CF trunk. Then I wrote a nice letter to the judge.
Well, at least this goes to show that a nicely written letter works. Just make sure you have a good case and you cover all of your bases. Don't make up any stories and do your research.

So um ya, did i mention Michigan has no recon... no safety.... no emmissions... and the cops dont even look twice at my car when i drive by... in fact most dont look once

i honestly wish the cops would just stop judging cars. recon is a load of bull, its pointless. if a safety check is permitted let that be all the info a officer needs. any1 agree with me here?
