Dave, hate to burst your bubble, but thats the standard response from Brett. Basically my interpretation of that response is "It will be available anytime between next week and next year."

Hmm, guess I should have realized that. I just want an exhaust is all. Still hoping someone is going to "try" and swap a rex exhaust or something. Not like I need more power anyways, heck I never take the car racing anyways. Just need a new exhaust note, stock is boring.

Should have come to install day at Tim's yesterday, we could have removed his turboback from his wagon to see if it would fit. We had plenty of people and time to do it.

With a week old kid, wife recovering from c-section and no sleep it just didnt happen. I had planned on coming, but the day went to cr@p...

So why hasnt Tim done that? Its his wagon and he has the Sti so it makes sense. Just curious.

I don't remember where I read it but I think a few have stated the exhaust from the wrx will fit. It might have been the God thread on clubwrx and a few others. I think someone installed the turboxs RFL. But hey....if you're gonna spend $600-1200 I'd probably wait for an exhaust made for the STI.....the extra 1/2 liter has got to make a difference!

That's Vishnu time. When it's ready.... Usually worth the wait though. I just hope he doesn't get too caught up on Evo VIII mods.

I wonder if they really did put some time into these exhaust..... or did they just try it and it worked well enough.....with the hefty price tag I hope its the "best" they got...but with such a short r&d period I dont see how its possible

Yeah but there are always wussies that are worried about something that doesn't specifically specifiy '04 STi.

People a 3" pipe will support over 400HP. so if a 3" exhaust from a '02-'03 bolts right up to an sti... go for it. Be daring.

Hmm, sounds like I need to think about ordering the Vishnu, now for the Sti would you still need the turboback or just the catback?
