The VF39 tops out at just over 18psi. I would be concerned with the overboost/peaking 20psi that the utec is running. Fuel cut will occur at some point. The #'s from TurboXS (dynapack dyno) read out higher than most.

umm yeah. I'm glad that's not my car. That's alotta hot air at 20psi for the stock turbo. Good luck with that one.

hell yeah its old...never realized it. Im just trying to find out what the limits of a stock VF39 is. I am going to be swapping one into my WRX but Im waiting for a utec and some injectors. just wondering what kind of boost people are running on that particular turbo and how efficient it is.

i was thinkin about tuning my car like he did but not that much boost.

stock 3000gts with its little baby 9b turbos and stock catbacks have seen about 310 AWHP with a stand alone.
