STi HVAC/Key ring green -> red light mod

I'm going to order the following red lamp covers which will allow you to convert the HVAC and key ring lighting to red. I plan to order ten 10 packs to get the $1.50 price break. You will only need 5 (4 HVAC, 1 key ring) to do the mod, but having extras probably doesn't hurt. Let me know if you want and I'll hold a pack for you. If more then 10 people are interested I'll order more then 10. With shipping it'll be around $2.20 per person.
If someone finds something similiar locally (Radio Shack, etc..) let me know.

The red marker (ghetto mod) works great. Just as good as the red condoms and cheaper and quicker to do probably.

I was going to go the marker route, but others have said it fades as time goes on. It's only going to cost $2 and the time is probably about the same since you still have to remove the panels and the existing covers.

They came in the mail today. The cost is $2 for a packet of 10. (Includes shipping). I'll bring them to AutoX on Sunday. If you won't be out there on Sunday PM me and I'll figure out a way to get it to you.

I already did the HVAC controls on mine and will do the key ring in the next day or so. They are not a snug fit over the bulb itself, but they are long enough to pull up over the end of the bulb where they will not fall off. I also found it better (after ripping a a few) to remove a few more screws and put them on from the front rather then try to insert the bulbs with the new cover.
When you do it, you'll know what I mean or I'll be happy to help anyone. It takes about 15-20 minutes if you take your time.

Will take some pictures after I do the key ring. It looks great and should have just come from the factory this way. It also makes me realize I need to swap out my stereo HU for something that matches. I was trying to decide between a Sony and Clarion unit and after seeing both in person I think I'm going to go with the Clarion and move my Alphine to the 4Runner.

That Stereo HU just doesn't fit in anymore.
