Speakers in the STi

There are stock speakers in the STi correct? I was told this, but now I talked with Mario, and he said there are no speakers in the car whatsoever.

Ok thanks, so it has all of the wiring I need, just no speakers at all, right?

Does anyone have stock speakers that they want to get rid of, that are in good condition? I'd buy them off of whoever has them.

Yep it's prewired.

Hmm.. I'm hearing that Subaru is willing to put in a system now. I'm not sure if it's a rumour or what. I'll find out when my friend gets his STI.

My $.02 would be to hold off on the stereo and get your own. All dealers will rape you on there model. Pay the money and get your own system. STi doesn't come with speakers. I got Nachs for my car (6 1/4 up front and 4 in the rear). Good luck!

Put MB Quarts in mine - 6 1/4 seperates in the front, 5 1/2 components in the rear.
They fit with the provided spacers - don't tighten down to hard, and install with the windows down.

Speakers

I put 6 1/2's up front and 6 1/2's in the rear deck. Sounds alot better than in the back doors. Both sets are Focals. Did it myself, people want too much money here to install stuff. Still have subs to put in next. Later
