Soon FS: WRX block

Aloha,

The block has about 10k miles. I'm hoping to remove the block within two months.

I'm still not sure how much I want for it, but I was told to sell it for $400.00.

Please PM if you are interested or PM me for details.

Thanks~chib

I e-mailed Cobb about a

semi-closed dec, here's the response;

Currently I don't have a price on just a semi-closed shortblock. I would
guesstimate approximately $1200 for the block without core. Approximately
$400 w/ core. To semi-close the deck we are performing a process where we
heat the block in a special oven, bath the block in argon gas and then tig
weld in an aluminum alloy that bonds to the stock alloy very well. We then
heat cycle the block several times before boring/honing the cylinders true.

As for what else, we make some modifications to the passages in the block
and a few other things we like to keep to ourselves for competitive reasons.

Let me know if you have any other questions, or feel free to search and/or
post on our Forum.

Obviously shipping from Hawaii is pricey, but don't know of anyone on the island that could "build" the WRX block to make it "sturdy".
