Ever wreck at 120mph?

Want to know what it feels like?

holy **** - just was in accident @ 120mph
I was with my friend in his 02 firehawk...another friend in passenger seat and I was in the back.

We were messing around with a c5, gst, talon and a few ricers on 4-lane highway.

Hit a slight turn going 120-130 still accelerating...his 9" rear locks up and our back end swings out left and we cross all 4 lanes...then it swings a complete 360 and we hit the grass drainage ditch and go about 4 feet up a hill.

everyone is fine and the car isn't in that bad of shape (bad tire/wheel)

we have it on video...in car....its crazy no one said anything until we hit and stopped...

yes it was stupid and people do stupid things...im sure it will never happen again....

i felt like it was in slow mo....everyone thought i was inthe passenger seat (with T's out) and no wearing a seatbelt) - i always wear one...however the back had no seatbelts, i just held on to the seat in front of me

im so happy to be alive

fastest i've ever come off was at about 80mph in T2 at sears point raceway, and that was on a 600cc supersport bike. things really do move in slow motion when you're crashing like that.

Yeah I managed to crash at about 95 at Seattle International Raceway back in early 90s while racing my F2. Not fun. 8 days unconscious in the hospital, woke up and had to go through some rehab and still have balance issues. It seemed like it took forever before I blacked out. Not fun, but atleast it was in a semi-controlled environment. I dont like messing around on public roads, if Im gonna be stupid I should be the only one I am endangering.

I don't remember how fast I was going, I blacked out. I did have a passenger and I thought he may have known, but he had his eyes closed and he was curled up in a ball

I low sided my bike on an on-ramp as well. It was so weird because as I got into the turn I could feel the back tire give up grip, and like you guys said--it was slow motion. I remember having time to think "oh look, I lost traction... Yep, I'm gonna crash... Wow, look at the ground..." I was lucky, I NEVER wear a jacket, but that one night, I did. Got away with out a scratch. Too bad I'm a hard learner, I wasn't so lucky some other times after that.

Hey Richard, did you end up flying off of the hill?

Nope. The friction between the tarmac and my skin slowed me down enough so that I just bumped into the curb.

I didn't roll. I didn't bounce. I *SLID* on skin (after the freeway ate my jeans and jacket) - after rolling over once because it was getting VERY hot until I came to a rest hugging the curb. Helmet didn't touch once. Rest of my body wasn't so lucky.

OUCH!
I feel you man, however road rash is a hell of a lot better than being cut up by a guard rail. Good instinct too-- number one rule on crashing--DO NOT induce roll!

I guess we should all stick to 4 wheels, eh?

I sure do miss it though...

i was pretty lucky, i just slid, rolled a bit and then got up and ran off the track as quickly as i could. i was wearing full race leathers, boots, etc. but did wind up with a bruised up hand, mild road rash, and one hell of a concussion. i was checked out pretty good the whole next week at work. it's been a couple of years, but there aren't any lingering affects thankfully. it was a damn good thing that i lowsided, otherwise they would have found me in the bleachers on the outside of T2!
