Someone looking for side job

I have a 2011 WRX. Couple weeks ago the shifter got stuck in 3rd gear. Car was off and parked on flat surface. I attempted to move the shifter into nuetral without the clutch. And it got stuck. Car moves forward and rolls back with clutch engaged. I did as much as could as far as looking into it snd trying to fix it myself. I had no luck and am now looking for some help. Someone willing to take on a side or weekend job. I have a Gopro I a willing to give up for your service or cash or maybe a combination of both depending of how intensive the job is or may become. I realky can't afford a shop that want 800 just to investigate the problem. Im hoping that someone in the subie community is willing to help a brother out. Thanks guys.
You can PM me or text me at 206-399-9083.

Sounds like a shifter fork broke or throwout bearing wasn't installed correctly.

What it comes down to, is you gotta take the trans out. With your car so new i don't get how you are not covered by the warranty? Either way its a pain in the ***. Now then again it could be as simple as your shifter came loose out or something? Do you have a short throw? Any mods to the drive train?

he has a short shifter if i remember from the last thread.
just remove the shifter trim, inspect the linkage from up top and then get underneath and check the linkage from the bottom. Its a start.
