Some more bumper questions

Ran into a few issues on the front bumper beam job, was wondering if any of you happen to have experience in this area and might be able to answer a few questions.

So earlier I was posting about anyone with a front bumper beam 02-07 to swap mine out to pass recon. Well I picked up an 06 beam and Saturday I went to do the swap. The beam bolts up just fine as it should, but come to find out my bumper cover isn't compatible with the beam.

I don't know where to go from here. Do I buy an 06 bumper cover to throw on the car? Just go buy the 02 bumper beam? I surfered the interwebz a bit, but couldn't seem to find an answer. Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey bro,
I'd find out what the offset might be. Too wide? Too thick? Something like that. And maybe try and fabricate a bit.

...or you can go the more expensive route, and just swap the proper beam.

If it was me, I'd see how hard it'd be to fabricate it. Might be as easy as a weekend with some power tools! Plus, it'll save some dough.

If you need a hand, just hit me up.

Are you looking for a bumper beam just so you can pass recon? I may be able to loan you one. Or do you want to purchase? This would be off a 03 WRX.

Did you try for Recon and they noticed you didn't have a bumper beam, or are you just trying to be prepared?

Hey sorry for getting back to you guys so late, been working. Z Madness I would actually be interested in borrowing your beam if you wouldn't mind. I personally don't care if my beam is cut up, but I do need it to pass recon. If you're still up for it we'll definitely have to work something out and I can make it up to you for your troubles.

YuudaiSTI, I went through recon and failed because they noticed the beam. Only because you can see it if you look through my bumper. Still impressive that he caught it.
