So what I-clubbers ARE getting an STi?

Just curious. I hear 5 are spoken for and 2 blacks with gold are available. So tempting. If I could get something for my rex I might consider it.

So who is actually getting one?

I've seen the other thread about markup, but here goes....

I think that anyone who's met George at Beretania would agree he's a cool guy. I have only spoken to him on the phone and met him today.

He was speaking to Shawn ? on the phone (Sorry, dude. Don't know your SN), and told him that the STI's were in the warehouse. He said $35k.

I told him that I'd have to post about it, so I'm covering the bases.

I, personally, have no idea whether there's any in the warehouse, nor the price; nor am I on the waiting list, but he seems like a pretty reliable source.

I'd still buy one if the timing were right.

Hmm, for 32k I would consider it, if I could sell off the rex. That would be my limit, just hearing more and more about how much you take it in the azz selling rex's here...

Speaking for myself, beyond all of the pretty little amenities, the only difference I know of between the Stock USDM STI and all of the St4 cars on the island is the extra .5 liters.

I've paid $7582 to get my car to where it is right now...engine, suspension, a couple of exterior bits.

I paid $21,600 for the car......

I'm thinking about my next go-fast modifications as being either stronger gears or an entire tranny ($1700-5000), and when I believe that I've (safely) maxed the VF30, then I'll shop for another turbo (less than $1000, I can assure you. I'll have Sean helping me fabricate)

No more than $35,000 total, I'd say.

LET'S GET BUSY ON YOUR CAR! Don't mark up the prices on yourself by paying someone to install the stuff, neither. NO MORE PRETTY CRAP. (The ADVAN's don't count necessarily as pretty because they serve a nice weight reducing function)

I don't know pat. There are some pretty big differences.
Twin Scroll Turbo- expensive and sweet
Variable Valve Timing- increased drivability and power range as well as increased posibilities for new cams.ooooooohhh so sweet.
6 Speed- nuf said
Driver Controlled Center Diff nuf said
Front and rear LSD nuf said
Brembo Brakes- 3600 bucks for that stuff!!
Aluminum Control Arms-900 bucks

IF I had a 02 or 03 WRX, I'd trade up in a heartbeat.

However, I don't. I love the style of my car. I like the sunroof... two doors.. you all know. You've heard me preach it a hundred times before.

BTW, I still need an intercooler.

Yeah yeah. I have to wait til after the delivery since I have NO medical insurance and have to pay everything out of pocket, then I will re-investiage a stage kit. Im thining Vishnu Stage 1 for now, atleast give me some extra hps to play with without messing with turbo and such yet. Also want an exhaust bad and that would cover that. Holding off on the APS fmic and such for now, just dont need the bling til I got the powa!
