The Officer had no right to chirp you for going to slow, but then again he might have been warning you that you were going too fast. I would never intentionally "chirp" someone while i'm working for going to slow, although I have pulled over some people for that reason (usually lost people looking for addresses etc. I just tell them to pull off to the side so they won't cause traffic/potential roadrage)

If I need to get around you, i'll use my lights and sirens, thats what it's there for. And yes, I agree some cops abuse their power and let it get to their head. But hey, I'm nice!

hslin,

thanks for the insight..........i hardly think 60 is speeding but then again the law is the law when this guy chirped me he gave me a bit of a stink eye which leaves me to assume that i was going to slow and blocking him. i have had in the past had cops chirp me and give me the motion to slow down but never got not one bit of a mean look. but hey thanks

On a lighter note. I saw a Police car with dark tint. I know it was illegal as I used to install tint. Im cool with it. What really shook my head is that his front windshield was tinted to?!? How did I know? Because he had a foward facing dash mounted police light and I could barely see it. Im not gonna say what part of the island he work on as the cops here are cool as **** and dont wanna ruin it for everybody.

Anyway, I know what you mean by damned if we speed, damned if we don't. If we speed we may get a ticket. If we don't, *** hats tailgate us and get pissed. But you know what, who gives a fack if they get pissed? They won't be the ones paying for your ticket and your high insurance. That's what I always tell myself, "F*CK EM."
Werd. as long as you don't drive the speed limit in the far left i say **** em and let them get the tickets. If they are gonna get pissed, let em get pissed at themselves for getting a ticket. i ran into an unusual situation yesterday. i was going home on kam hwy (i live in waipio), and there was a lot of traffic. i guess it was everyone going home to millilani. anyway i'm in the far right lane as i have to make the next right to go home. i'm waiting patiently just like everyone else when a motorcycle comes flying past me on the right shoulder. at first i was kinda pissed, but hey, it's a motorcycle and i'd probably do it too if i had one. so i just went on driving. few seconds later a car does the same thing, i'm like wtf!? it's a good mile to the next turn and they think they can just hop on the shoulder and not have to wait. so now i'm getting pissed as an suv does the same thing so i slowly work my way over into the shoulder lane, partly to see whats causeing the hold up, and partly to keep other people from going on the shoulder. after a few seconds there is a very large truck behind me and he is extremely close. of course since i am blocking he shoulder lane he has no choice but to sit there behind me. the funny thing is there were about 3 cars behind him just waiting to drive down the shoulder. now normaly i would just call them idiots and not do anything but this time i just got pissed that these people could be so rude. so after about 5 min we get almost to the light and i can see that just before the turn, the shoulder lane ends and a sidewalk begins. so now i'm even more upset because not only are these people riding the shoulder and not waiting, but they have to merge back into traffic right before the right turn and thus further the traffic problem. well the truck behind me got tired of waiting so he went completely on the grass and drove around me, burning out and squealing his tires in the prosess. that kind of stuff is what bothers me. i don't mind the cops, as much as the stupid, blind, and inpatient drivers out there. man this is long. r u still reading this?
