The markup on the EVO don't sound too bad now. Even though that is messed up, damn those Greedy dealerships.

oh, and get this...my mom was looking for a new car, so we looked at the toyota highlanderfor her-i tried to get her into a ML500, X3/X5, or a RX330, but she wanted something cheaper...we test drove a highlander last week, and a scion xB today...she really liked the xB, so she bought one today...no silver ones prepped on the lot today, so they said she'll get her car in a week...
pretty funny to think she liked the xB...and how that car is designed to target the younger buyers... (my momma is 58)...

Poser - Can you adopt me too!

When the sales guy calls her for pickup of her xB they'll probably ask if she wants indoor delivery or outdoor delivery. I was at the Scions dealership when I witnessed what an indoor delivery was. Basically they bring your car into the show room all nice and clean. Cover it with a sheet of cloth just an unveiling of a new car at the auto shows. Once you are there and everything is taken care of. The disco lights turn on, music starts playing, balloons, and someone announces over the mic, that you have purchased a Scion 'insert model here'. Then they'll walk you down this little red carpet to your car, where there is an attendant who will walk you through every feature of the car.
I have 2 friends that bought Scions and have taken outdoor delivery, that is just like the normal car delivery. Salesman walks you around the car, showing you the features.
One more thing, they video tape the indoor delivery so you can have keepsake video of your Scion purchase.

thanx for the info on the scion purchase...i was wondering why they had the red carpet in the showroom...i'll make sure my mom gets the indoor delivery, just to get her embarassed a bit...
a video seems pretty cool...i know that when you buy a bmw, they take a picture of you and the car, and send it to you a few days later...at mercedes, they place a few long stemmed roses on your dashboard when you pick up the car...

Cool, pimp joey out for me.

When I got there, the indoor delivery car was under the cover already and the red carpet was setup. I thought it was a car setup something for press or media. I was sitting inside of the xA right by the covered car. Then all of a sudden the back turns into a club, music, lights..etc. All I could think was WTF!? Then the announcer gets on the mic.. They should hire Micheal Buffer as the announcer.
I would probably do the same for my mom if she was getting a Scion, and setup indoor delivery. I'd do it just to see the expression on her face.

When I picked up my WRX, I didn't get my pic taken. I was just given some cleaning products.

...the deposits before mine were just for the regular C6s...i'll still check out the lotus though...
and servco will charge msrp, nothing more...none of that "adjusted market value" crap...

Awesome!
Hey, just like I told you at Speedgear's grand opening (or was it Ed's going away party?) You've got to give me a ride in your vette. Man, that would be awesome!
I'd be happy if you just let me watch you drive it around a parking lot.
