Slow down

just a heads up to all you folks here

HPD traffic division has issued a so called "quota" to their traffic officers who must issue 4 tickets per hour! which means 1 ticket every 15 minutes. this is not a joke i had confirm this with many LEOs that i know. a lot of unhappy people in the department

there is no such thing as a 5 mph leeway anymore they be tagging anything now pretty much to meet that quota daily!

officers will be held accountable to meet this quota if they fail to it can result in being written up and having special privilages taken away as solo detail (Bike) taken away and offers of special duty jobs

so what happens if literally everyone is going the speed limit / not doing anything illegal?

Quotas are the most retarded method I can possibly think of to enforce laws, in fact, they do quite the opposite.

Not like you could possibly speed anywhere anyway with the traffic the way it is.

the new major brought this up so let your voices be heard and let your reps know how you feel about this.

this is only for traffic division officers

reasons behind this i heard were to keep the officers word spread out through the day some guys would rack up tickets in 1 hour and then cruise the whole day or some whouldnt even bring in tickets. so in others this way they can make sure they work through the whole day. another reason was a lot of speeding going on not so much freeways but in regular housing areas a lot of communities have been complaining.

oh and also spedo's are not 100% accurate and give the le-way for the 5mph over in court and also the chance that the laser gun could be slightly off plus they always announce it on the news if there are example: road blocks dui check points click it or ticket

i got word of this through 4 LEO's who confirm this. there has always been some leeway in the speeding tickets

one officer told me it isnt hard to issue 4 tickets an hour anyways so it isnt anything different. its mostly to deter some officer from doing all their work in 1 hour and then cruising for the rest of the day. some guys would write a whole bunch of tickets in 1 hour then cruise the rest of the day or some wouldnt even bring back any tickets. its more for them doing there job then trying to ticket everyone on the roads.

GREAT SCOTTS! I just seen 7 solo bikers under the via-duct of K-Mart Salt Lake in the middle of the road.

Ready to take me down, my heart fell out my a$$. Good thing I wasn't speeding, for my car really catches alot of attention.
