Silencer Rattle

hmm...i just bought a silencer for my NUR spec...weird thing is...is that it rattles...and its kinda irritating...just wondering if anyone else has this problem...and how i might solve it...b'cuz i love the exhaust...but sometimes its just loud...for example...coming home at 3-4 in the morning from my girlfriends house...doesn't really make anyone happy hearing me come home that early/late...doesn't make the neighbors happy neither...

Its still pretty load w/ the silencer in?? And if your silencer is rattling maybe it doesn't fit properly, you should look into a different silencer. Is this the silencer that comes w/ it??

Try to crush the silencer a tiny bit. If you make the part of the silencer that touches the tip just a little more of an oval it should be snug enough to stop the rattle.

If that deosn't work...

My NurSpec R axle-back was the same way. It didn't come with a silencer so I had to drill a hole in the bottom of the tip to accomodate the silencer set screw. What I did was slip a small SS washer in between the sliencer & the inner wall of the tip and then set the screw right thru it. That pressure was enough to force the silencer against the upper inside lining of the silencer and eliminate all rattles. A little bit of exhaust will flow thru the side of the silencer, but this happened when I tried to do the "oval crush" also. Hope this helps!
