Shipping the car?

I made an appointment with Young Brothers to send a tuck to Maui and just wondering if anyone knew how much it will be for a Ford Ranger and approx how long will it take?

Also I have to send the WRX to California this month and kinda worried about what I will receive on the other side. Need recommendations prior to dropping off the car and if anyone had problems with them messing around with their ride.

ThanQ

Just make SUPER SURE that your car is in good condition when you get it off of the boat.

Check EVERYTHING...TWICE!

Also, make sure to give it a good detailing (triple wax it or use double paint sealant before it goes on the boat) before and after because that salt water and soot sucks.

Thanks for all the tips. But how is everyone getting scratches? Are they treating it like the workers do the lot cars at a renta car company? If thats the case SxxT... Im switching my ecu map to valet mode, taking lots of pics super fine quality, and cross my fingers I dont get any damages or..... Im not even gonna say what else could happen.

I wouldn't worry so much they don't make money tearing up people's cars. Matson charges under $1k to ship to the west coast switching the ecu to valet mode can't hurt..

Word...go to valet mode. It only takes one babooze to taek your car for a joy ride.

**** happens so yeah they may ding one or two cars but they are good about coughing up the dough to fix it.

I shipped my car and other than them steeling about 5 dollars worth of $1's and change nothing major happened. A few scratches. I definitly recommend taking pictures and putting the car in valet mode. I wish I could have done that. My car came back 1 quart low on oil.

i ship about 3 cars to maui every month(work) and they are approxoimately 160 dollars- depends on the actual weight- MAKE SURE that you DO NOT use the weight off the vehicle- use the one off the registration- and make sure that young brothers KNOWS that- whenever i go there i make sure i see the OLD LADY- she is the nicest. i typed caps for the very important parts!

as for the mainland shipping i believe your question is answered.

That's because I went over and did a few burnouts with your car...nothing special.

I had Northland ship my car from Seattle,..it cost $1100, but it includes like $75k insurance just in case of loss or anything,..

Matson is like $900, but insurance you gotta buy seperate, and it'll come out $1100 too,..

Northland put my car in its own container and arrived in good shape,..a little dirty, but my car was sitting over the Memorial Day weekend and I have a black car,...

Your car insurance should cover the shipping. Mine did. However matson only insures $20k of your cars value. So if they drop your $200k car off the ship in the middle of the ocean you only get $20k from them.
