Or Ed could send his chip to Vishnu and get a stage 2 program thrown on it... Once he got it back he could put it in his car, while you buy the one currently in Ed's car from Wes. Then you can send that one back to Vishnu to get a stage 2 program on it and you'll all be set!

Wait, I screwed that up... Wes' chip already have a Stage 2 on it. You'd have to send it back to get a Stage 2 + FMIC setup though... Well, never mind - you get the idea.
