I've tried the water route on my '74 Corolla. It works pretty good. Just gotta make sure that you don't spray too much at one time and be sure to keep the revs up otherwise... Plus you don't get smoked out like you would with the sea foam.

Wow...that's significantly clean.

I'm gonna try it...saw it at Advance Autoparts yesterday but was still scared.

On the bottle it says you can also add seafoam to your gas and oil...probably a little less scary to do I guess.

so many toyota guys do it on that forum that they flame people asking what is seafoam lol... they do it in all areas, intake, crankcase, and injectors. putting it in only one area will only clean the components in particular system which are listed on the bottle...

just did the suby, lol i was scared this fire truck was gonna stop me ahah... perfect timing. my friend saw me driving around and said, "you know your car is broken right?" haha... the smoke didnt last as long as the 4runner. i do notice a nice black sticky residue on my exhaust pipes better there than in the engine. i think the turbo will be fine as it gets so hot it will probably burn off, if anything, im changing it out anyway lol...

your car is still pretty new so i dont know how much junk would have been in there anyway, but could you honestly feel a difference? also how many miles do you have on it?

oh yeah, pray you never have to deal with their customer service. I first emailed them asking about the product because I was skeptical about it and they sent me the usual "it'll do this this and this with one application!" propaganda. I then emailed them when my MPG mileage went down and this is what went back and forth

them-"well you must have done something wrong"
me-"I did it per the extremely vague directions on the can"
them-"well there aren't many directions because it should be done by a shop that knows what they are doing"
me-"then why is it sold at AutoZone for everyone to buy instead of directly to shops? this stuff really doesn't work that well anyways'
them-"well is not magic in a can!"
me-"it isn't? (quoted original propaganda email)"
them-"stop emailing us"

they don't stand behind their product for ****, and I don't blame them

maybe the seafoam isnt worth the risk. I might just pour it in my gas or oil. If I pour it in my oil, should I change the oil right after, or just pour it in to a new batch of oil. The can has really junk directions.

It knocked off the carbon as stated. The carbon ended up depositing between the ring and the lands. This caused the rings to stick. This was the final motor that blew.

Well 10-4 to that.

I will just stick to using the Techron Fuel Cleaner and changing oil regularly.
