SCCA'S DRIVER'S SCHOOL, TEST AND TUNE, AND TRACK DAY
____On Sunday, May 2 at Hawaii Raceway Park, the Hawaii Region of the Sports Car Club of America will give any driver the opportunity to try road racing in a safe and supervised environment. For those seeking a racing license, a full on driver's school will be held. For those drivers with a competition license_or Solo 1 experience there will be time for some testing and tuning.
____For those would like some_race_track experience in their own cars and with limited passing there will be the track day portion of the_day.

___ School: obtain your racing novice permit from SCCA . Lots of seat time. $300.
___ Test and Tune: for drivers with a racing license or SOLO 1 experience. $150.
___ Track day: drive any car on the short course with limited passing. $50.

How often to they do this? My cars won't arrive until late May. And I doubt my mom's CR-V or B4000 are eligible. Are ride alongs allowed?

there are some guys doing a track day (Super Lap by Drift Session) almost monthy now.

Their next track day is the 17th I believe.

Ryan, I think you can just show up and race (some guys did last time). I have the flyer somewhere, so I will check to make sure.

I sent boloheadrat a PM saying the same thing, but longer & more detailed. Basically, we all showed up, signed up & paid at the same time, went through orientation, and raced.
