Sanity check

Alright, where I'm at is that I've got the rad out. The ex manifold and dp out. Disconnected the positive and negative wires, as well as the alternater wire. Fuel lines are d/c'd. EM bolts are off and I'm about to take off the tranny:engine bolts, as well as the starter.

I don't have an engine hoist or stand yet, so I'm not going to pull it, but can anybody think of anything else?

I'm thinking my work bench will be my engine stand.

If I had rafters, I wouldn't need a hoist neither. I probably could lift the engine out of the engine bay myself, couldn't I? Or if I took the subframe off, maybe take it out the bottom.

I didn't take the turbo/up/inlet pipe off. I didn't take the intake manifold off.

Thoughts?

yup... I would attempt to take it off from the bottom since you don't have a hoist... that's what I'd be doing

what are you trying to do again...

swap out pistons. Was that part number the one you were looking for?

Oh, also, I've got the hyper single clutch kit, that header, dp, and heads I bought while I was over in AFG.

I don't know... that was the same part number that I thought it was when I was surfing that site earlier...

Keep my secret a secret

Damn... everything must come of it seems

I've got to take the AC and all of the belts off, don't I? Well, I guess I would've had to anyhow in order to replace that old cam gear.

Stupid question, how do I take off the cruise and throttle cables?

No sweat. The way I'm going, I'll still have the engine in the car when you get out of the Marine Corps. You'll still be able to come over and help me pull it out by then.
