Safety Check and Exhaust Questions

I am interested in modifying my Accord CVT single exhaust to dual exhaust. I am leaning towards the Borla one. I understand that I don't need a recon sticker for aftermarket exhausts, but did anyone have any trouble with the safety check regarding exhausts?

This will be my first time going to one in a couple of months. What is the process like? Where is the best place to go on Oahu?

I've read through the forums, but the law states that exhausts cannot be louder than factory. Did anyone have trouble with the police regarding exhausts? Even with the safety check?

It's true that exhausts aren't a recon item. It also is legal to have due to Hawaii's lack of smog laws. However, it is up to the discretion of law enforcement officers to nail you for noise pollution if they deem your setup too loud.

From experience, if you drive pretty chill and don't brap brap everywhere, you'll be fine.
