Jack Stands are only like $20 for a pair...you have no excuse if you get crushed.

Slipped off a JACK not a JACK STAND. Different!

I'm paranoid about my car crushing me even on jack stands... I use 4 to support the front when I'm working on it

Apparently he was only using a jack. Not jack stands.
I certinaly feel for the guy and anyone else who is injured this way. Not everyone knows how important jack stands are... and what sucks is that when you purchase a new vehicle, it only comes with a jack, propogating the notion that a jack is all you need.

Stay safe folks!
