why do you think that you have to replace the coil packs? why don't you just replace the spark plugs or check the connection to the coil packs to see if they are loose or not connected at all.
our coil packs rarely fail

I've changed out the sparkplug, checked the connections and still no improvement.
I'm hoping that it would be the coilpack and not a gasket or worse.
Could it be anything else?
TIA!

Okay possible EM...
If I have a rotary switch to change programs on the fly and if I were to change the switch to the off the position without taking the UTEC out of the car, would it still affect EM and throw a P0301 code?
I've been trying to change the programs several times, however, no changes.

Well guys, thanks for all of the insight and help.
I appreciate it!
I replaced the coil and now everything runs like new!
5star Subaru was able to find one locally.
Much Mahalos!
